I have played poker for well over 30 years. Along the way I have played every kind of home game, at casinos, underground poker rooms, college dorms, private membership clubs, a ton of online poker before Black Friday as well as a fair amount afterwards at a now defunct Bitcoin poker site. I have played at every World Series of Poker since 2011 but have yet to play the WSOP Main Event so building my bankroll to that level is an ongoing process.
I wasn’t a winning player until I cured my tilt problem in 2002 which was an experience that profoundly changed my life for the better. I have been a winning player ever since, but I have no hope or ambition of “going pro” as I have a nice career as a software developer and a family that would not enjoy the travel or other aspects of the poker lifestyle.
